October 2013 Volume 2 Issue 6~SPOOKY EDITION
Hello Everyone!
Whew this was a crazy month,
filled with FTC, club visits, and lots of
fun Kiwanis events! I hope that training
was helpful and that all is well with your
clubs. Remember to stay strong and do
lots of service!! This issue is filled with
lots of upcoming service events so pay
attention. Also, if you’re a secretary
or president and have not been
trained let me know because it’s
important that those positions have
proper training. I can train you via
Skype if that is easier. All training
must be completed by Nov. 14.
Remember to pay dues as well!!
You should have them collected by the
21st of this month and sent in by the first
of Nov. to the membership update
center.
Keep up the good work and stay in
communication!!
Yours in service,
Hope Carter
Monthly Message from your Div.5 Lt. Governor: Hope
Carter
Here is the agenda for conferences this month. Each president should email me a date and time that is good for a conference by the 20th of each month. If you have not emailed me by that date I will start calling. I want to have a conference with each president by the 31st of each month. I promise calls won’t last long and I just want to do this so that there is a stream of communication with all of my clubs. These contribute to Key
Clubbin’ Correspondence awards (KCC Awards) so please participate.
Agenda
-How are you? -How are officers, advisors, and Kiwanis working together? -Does your club send in reports and newsletters? -Have you updated contact info. on TO website? -How are meetings going? What are you doing to retain membership? -Do you want to work towards DCON? What progress have you made in Dues Turn-in? -What service projects is your club participating in? -Do you want to help with the divisional project? -Do you have some awesome Key Clubbers in your club that may be interested in being Ltg? -What can I do for you?

My Divisional Project! For my divisional project I am partnering up with the Aktion
Club and the San Antonio State Supported Living Center!
The first thing we need to do is to start collecting
magazines! These magazines will go to the awesome residents
of the San Antonio State Supported Living Center. All kinds of
magazines, even catalogs, are acceptable!! The magazines they
don’t used are used to shred paper. This project is quick and easy
so I hope all can participate. I can go around and pick up your
donations as needed. Just stay in contact.
The next thing I need in support of this project is 15
Key Club volunteers for the Run Roll and Ramble (3R)
on November 2! There, we will most likely be pushing folks who
use wheelchairs in the 1K portion of the race. Please contact me if
your club can help!!!
There will be more events with them throughout the year so
stay we’ll in touch! .
Use the Kiwanis YOF to help
fund one of your club’s
community service
projects. YOF will donate
$200 to $2,000 to assist your
club in any service project.
I have reached out to San
Antonio charity
organizations and Haven
for Hope is interested in
working with Key Club on
this. Please email me if you
want to work with them!
Application must be received by international on
October 15.
