Google Drive Guide for Student

1. Search Notebloc on Google Play or Apple App Store and download

2. Tap on the Camera icon

3. Take a picture.

4. Adjust corners and tap on the ‘√’.

5. Tap ‘√’ to scan next image where necessary.

6. Tap ‘Share’ when ready.

7. Take a moment to check your file name. It should follow the naming convention below: <index number> <Name> <Class> <Subject> <Date of homework assigned>.pdf example: 22.Apple Tan 6C EL 9 Apr.pdf

After you have created the pdf document of your completed work, you can submit it by following the steps below.

1. Launch Google Chrome.

2. Click on the 3 dots located at the top right corner of your browser.

3. Select ‘New incognito window’.

4. Go to gmail.com.

5. Enter the email address that your teacher has given you via SLS. For this example, we will be using the demo account, Apple_Tan@ngaps.edu.sg

6. Click ‘Next’.

7. Enter the password for your account. You can find the password to your account via SLS.

8. Click ‘Next’.

9. You will be prompted to enter your password again.

10. Enter the text you see to complete the security verification.

11. Click on ‘Next’.

12. You will need to change your password on this screen. It has to be a minimum of 12 characters.

13. Confirm your password.

14. Click ‘Next’.

15. Click ‘Accept’ to complete the registration.

16. Click on the 3 by 3 square dots at the top right corner of the screen to reveal the Google App Drawer.

17. Click on ‘Drive’ to launch Google Drive.

18. On the left hand side of the screen, click on ‘Shared with me’ to access your class folders.

19. You will see a folder with your index number and name.

20. Double-click on the folder.

21. You will see the different subject folder. In this example, we will be uploading an English worksheet into the

folder.

22. Click on ‘New’.

23. Click on ‘File upload’.

24. To make the uploading experience much easier, create a folder on the desktop with your name.

25. Click on the worksheet you wish to upload. Take a moment to check your file name. It should follow the naming convention below: <index number> <Name> <Class> <Subject> <Date of homework assigned>.pdf example: 22.Apple Tan 6C EL 9 Apr.pdf

26. Click on ‘Open’ to complete the upload.

27. You can view the status at the bottom right of the screen to check whether the upload is successful.

28. This green tick will appear once the upload is successful.

29. You may upload your work as soon as you have finished it.

30. The deadline to upload the week’s work will be every Sunday, 11:59 p.m.
