Nickel Coated FibersConductive Composites has developed a proprietary Chemical Vapor Deposition

(CVD) coating process where fibers are coated with a very thin, robust, and ductile

film of pure nickel. Nickel coated fibers present an ultimate combination of low

density, high strength, toughness, and high conductivity. Our process produces a

conductive fiber with superior handling properties, excellent conductivity/shielding

capabilities and are available in tow, braid, cloth, and converted formats. Our CVD

technology allows a wide range of fiber types to be coated including cellulose, silk,

cotton, jute and even carbon nano materials to name a few.

Carbon FibersCarbon fibers are widely used in commercial and defense

application for their strength and weight properties, and our nickel

coating process adds electrical and shielding performance and

deliver a multifunctional materials system. Available in multiple

tow count and modulus levels, our coated fibers provide a number

of unique properties that can only be obtained through our

proven process.

Aramid FibersNickel coated aramid fibers are high strength, heat-resistant

synthetic fibers which present an ultimate combination of low

density, high strength, toughness, and high conductivity.

CutFiber (chopped & sized staple)Our chopped/sized conductive fiber staple is available with a

wide range of nickel coating levels and sizing chemistries in

lengths from 6mm to 24mm. The superior properties of our

CutFiber makes it a perfect high performance structural and

conductive additive for thermosets & thermoplastics and is also

used in conductive nonwovens.

Precision Converted Fiber (PCF)Our precision converted nickel coated fiber is a highly uniform

short fiber format in length from 2mm to 100µm. Our PCF provides

our customers and partners with a high-performance structural

and conductive additive that is both lighter and longer than typical

nickel coated graphite formats. With a wide range of available

nickel coating levels and sizing chemistries, our easily

dispersable, high uniformity conductive short fiber format is

perfectly suited for conductive gaskets, elastomers, sealants,

adhesives and paints.
