PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mums UnLtd launches in Northampton

Mums UnLtd is bringing its award winning formula to Northampton to help to support women who are juggling a

family with their business.

In a survey conducted by Direct Line (2014) more Mums are starting a business to spend time with their children in

order to reduce child care costs and wanting the flexibility running a business can bring.

The trend of the rise of Mumpreneurs was identified five years ago by founder and entrepreneur Debbie Gilbert who

began in 2011 with one group in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The new Northampton group will take the

organisation to 15 groups across 6 UK counties with more planned.

Laura Morrison, the new Northampton group leader said ‘I am delighted to be launching in the area and our monthly

meetings will be a tremendous support to local Mums in business. In fact, Mums UnLtd welcomes anyone along so

Dads and non Mums are included! I have lots of experience working with small business owners in my capacity as a

coach and will be giving them lots of support to succeed’.

The meetings provide business information, support, guidance, advice and a number of ways that attendees can

promote their business, with no membership to pay. There is an event fee to pay but no membership means

attending is very cost effective for start ups.

Founder Debbie Gilbert commented ‘When I started Mums UnLtd I never thought it would grow to be this big. We

love to support women, particularly those with children, on their business journey. The number of Mumpreneurs is

growing each year as more women decide to run a business around their family. Partly due to rising child care costs

and the fact that many women find commuting and juggling a family can be so difficult. The growth in our business

clearly proves this is the case’.

The group is open to anyone who has a business or is thinking of starting one. This new support group will launch on

12th October at Westone Mano at 9.30am and a place can be booked online at www.mumsunltd.co.uk
