First Grade Field Trip
First graders will be going on a field trip Monday to
see the African Children’s Choir. “For twenty-
three years this choir has been changing the
lives of Africa's most vulnerable children.
Story after story tells of children coming to
this choir as orphans or from dire living
conditions and emerging as performing artists,
physicians, business leaders - all with a
commitment to improve the lives of other
children.” al.com

STONE SOUP
A collaborative project based learning
experience for Mrs. Stubblefield’s, Mrs. Ford’s
& Mrs. Watson’s classes on Wednesday,
November 17, 2010
Our classes will be making STONE SOUP next
Wednesday and each child needs to bring 1
fresh vegetable to school that morning
already chopped and ready to put in the pot.
(potatoes, carrot, celery, onion, beans,
peas, etc.) We are using the Thanksgiving
theme of sharing your food with others with
the emphasis on the book STONE SOUP -all it
takes is 1 item per person to make a meal for
everyone. We are inviting our custodians to
share the soup with us that afternoon.
Thank you,
Mrs. Stubblefield, Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Watson
