The KKK and Denver Jewish History with Phil Goodstein JCC Denver/Mizel Reception Room 350 S. Dahlia Street, DenverThe Ku Klux Klan briefly dominated Denver in the mid-1920s. While it was viciously anti-Semitic, it also had a Jewish lawyer who was the campaign manager for Benjamin Stapleton, a secret klansman elected mayor in 1923. The city’s leading historian, Phil Goodstein, will talk about what happened and how the events of the
Klan still haunt Denver. In partnership with JFS at the JCC.
