Olympic Games for Men and Women to compete In

Purpose

• Find a Olympic sport that both men and women can compete in. Were both men and women have an equal or high chance of winning a medal

Figuring out what sports to choose

• The way to choose what sports both men and women can compete in is by comparing the final winning score. If the results are fairly close we can predict that both sexes can compete but if the scores are not equivalent than the sport is not compatible for both sexes to compete in.

Findings • Found the 2 Olympic sports with the

similar scores for men and women to compete in

• Men and Women Shot Put

• Men and Women Individuals Archery

Project setup

• I set the project by first looking at 8 different Olympic years from 1980-2008.

• I compared the Men and Women's distances score in the shot put and put it in Microsoft excel.

• I also did the same with the Men and Women individuals archery. I used a graph and compared at the top 2 and 3 medalist score for the 8 different Olympic years to find a more accurate chance for both sexes to win.

Conclusion

• As you ca see the individuals archery was a lot more close in competition than I shot put. At first shot put started strong in women but as time when on men got better. On the other hand women and men archer are fairly compatible.
