Year 13 Statistics and Modelling
In Statistics we investigate data. Statistics is a
important tool on many subject areas where correct
interpretation of data is needed.
We look at different distributions, bi-variate and
time series data and also investigate probability.
Most of the datasets are real and from a variety of
contexts from Science, geography, economics
amongst other subjects.
There are four external standards and
three internal standards. All the internal
Achievement Standards are done on the
computer using a statistics package
called GenStat.

Year 13 CalculusIf you enjoyed the Algebra and Calculus topics at
Year 12 ( and below) you will probably enjoy
Calculus. Calculus is a branch of Mathematics
focused on Differentiation and Integration.
Calculus is the study of change, in the same way
that Geometry is the study of shape.
Calculus has widespread applications in Science,
Economics and Engineering.
There are four external standards and
one internal standard plus we back up the
externals with a corresponding Unit
Standard.

electrochemical cells (Batteries).
• Examine structure, bonding and periodic trends in
greater detail.
• Determine energy changes in chemical reactions.

why polyesters are called polyesters.

equilibrium reactions.

Composition, you choose PRACTICAL MUSIC. If you are less strong in these areas but enjoy the musicology aspect of the subject and would like develop
