Oracle Java Update Process 

Sign on to Oracle as normal with your current user name and password 

Click on the role you wish to use (Example being used is GN Purchasing User) 

Then click on the function needed (Example used Purchase Order Summary) 

Please be patient for the next step 

The system will take several minutes to prompt to install Java update. 

When prompt appears at the top click and chose install 

When the install pops up click on install 

When the next window prompts click on install 

Wait while the software installs 

When the install completes click on close 

Wait for the next prompt. 

When the prompt pops up click on the box “Always trust content from publisher” and make sure it has 

a check in the box. 

Then click on Yes 

Make sure there is a check in 

this box before clicking YES Only click YES once the 

box is checked 

Wait for the next prompt. 

When the prompt pops up click on the box “Always trust content from publisher” and make sure it has 

a check in the box. 

Then click on Run 

Make sure there is a check in 

this box before clicking RUN Only click RUN once the 

box is checked 

IMPORTANT NOTE ‐ NOT ALL USERS MAY GET THIS MESSAGE.  IF YOU DO NOT GET THIS MESSAGE 

YOUR INSTALL IS COMPLETE AND ORACLE WILL START. 

When Pop‐up Blocked prompt appears at the top click on prompt   

IGNORE THIS STEP IF YOU DID NOT GET THIS PROMPT 

Then click on “Always Allow Pop‐ups from the site…” 

The install is now complete and Oracle will open. 

The screen for the process you originally chose will open.
