DescriptionThe Palltronic Flow Check II unit enables the user to perform afast, simple check on a filter integrity test instrument to confirmthat the instrument is measuring the air or nitrogen gas flowcorrectly. A ‘Flow Check’ test can be performed as often as theuser requires, in order to ensure complete confidence in theintegrity test instrument. The user simply connects the FlowCheck II unit to the integrity test instrument and performs eithera Flow Check test (Palltronic Flowstar integrity test instrumentsonly), Forward Flow or Diffusion test. The flow measured by theintegrity test instrument is then compared with the calibratedflow of the Flow Check II unit.

The gas flow rate through a capillary is dependent on thedifferential pressure across the capillary. The inlet pressure iscontrolled by the connected integrity test instrument, as pressureabove the actual atmospheric pressure. The atmosphericpressure is dependent on the weather situation and local heightabove sea level. The Flow Check II unit has a built-in pressuresensor. When the button on the side of the unit is pressed, theatmospheric pressure is measured and the unit displays theactual flow rate. There is no need to use a table to calculate acorrection factor.

Battery:The unit include a standard battery (1.5 V battery type AA(LR06/AM-3). The battery is replaced during annual service and calibration.

Scope of SupplyEach Palltronic Flow Check II unit is supplied with a calibrationcertificate, Instructions for Use, pneumatic tubing and Stäubli* fittings.

The Palltronic Flow Check II unit is available in three configurations- which version should be used depends on the flow range of theintegrity test instrument being checked. For the FC02M andFC02H models (see table below), a volume must be installedbetween the unit and the instrument.
