Beaks

Parrots have very pointy beaks to break and eats nuts and insects.

Claws

Parrots must use its claws to have a better grip on its prey, similar to a humans hand.

Dinner

Parrots main diet are worms and nuts, while lories and other species feed on nectar, and pollen.

Eggs

Parrots eggs are very much like chicken eggs.

Feet

Parrots can use its long feet to bring food to its mouth.

Great Black Cockatoo

The Great Black Cockatoo is the largest parrot by height.

Hollow Bones

Parrots bones are hollow, which allows them to be lighter allowing them to fly long distances without breaking a sweat.

Imperial Amazon

The Imperial Amazon has a short but square tail.

Jamaica

Jamaica is one of the main biomes where parrots live, because of its tropical forests and hot climate.

Kea

The Kea’s scientific name is Nestor Notabilis.

Lories

Lories are parrots that has a very special tongue to easily suck out nectar and pollen.

Parrots must have strong muscles in its legs and wind in order to fly.

Parrots nest in the canopies of trees and termite mounds.

All parrots are omnivorous because they eat both plants and animals.
