1. Tie small loops in each end of the string as shown in the diagram on p686.

2. Pick a point about the middle of the large paper and put the two loops together over the point. Put the dowel vertically through the loops and press the dowel tightly onto the table.

3. Do step 3- 5 on p686-87 using a pencil. For #5: 2@ >20cm 1@ <20 cm
