TARGET AUDIENCE

To “hipster” urbanites between the ages of 30 and 50 who live in Portland and Seattle who greatly appreciate autonomous brands and “authentic” experiences, the “undiscovered” Pendleton downtown offers an irresistible desire to be explored.

UNIQUE OFFERPendleton is a one-of-a-kind city in the Pacific Northwest. The heart of its Western themed downtown is a vibrant and optimistic business community that caters to all the needs and wants of the rugged horse and saddle culture seeking tourists who visit.

Organized tours and self-explorations offer opportunities to delve as deep as one likes into the rich and entertaining history. Street art, retro cool stores, bars and cafes all add to the authentic experience.

VIDEO CONCEPT

Our story is about two hipster couples who come to Pendleton from Portland to discover the authentic western experience that they have heard about.

One of the friends in the party has been the main researcher, for our purposes, it will be one of the two women in the group. She is the early-adopter/instigator for the group.

Working off of the itinerary she found published by Travel Pendleton/Travel Oregon, she has booked a two-night stay at the Working Girl hotel. She has chosen to stay in the downtown core because her plans for their weekend are about exploring and supporting the cool retro-western culture that Pendleton offers.

She knows that her companions, who also appreciate authentic experiences, will enjoy exploring downtown Pendleton because of the handmade, one-of-a-kind artisan community, great dining, craft beverages, and retro-Americana vibe.
