• Personal Consumption Products

• Foods, drugs, cosmetics

• Tobacco and tobacco products

• Research & Development Areas – certain provisions apply– Teaching and testing activities– Technically qualified person– MSDSs must be made available to

employees in R&D areas

Hazardous Substance Survey Form - HSSF

• List of all hazardous, special and environmental hazards in the workplace with identifying CAS Numbers

• Must be updated annually by April 1• Must be posted in the workplace• Cannot complete without MSDSs for

products in the workplace – cross reference to PA HSL

Material Safety Data Sheet

• Documents prepared by chemical manufacturers, suppliers, distributors

• Used to determine if a product is regulated (contains substance on PA list) and should be listed on the HSSF
