UMSYS HCM 9.2 PeopleSoft myHR – Benefits Welcome Welcome to the myHR – Benefits Training Guide!

Accessing myHR At the end of this section, you will have the skills to:

1. Access the myHR website. 2. Log into the myHR website.

Reminder: When navigating in myHR, do not use the Back button within your Internet browser window. Please use the navigation provided. The myHR website is the portal for accessing Self Service information. myHR URL: https://myhr.umsystem.edu (https://myhr.umsystem.edu/)

1. To access the myHR website, you must first open a web browser. Chrome and Firefox are the recommended browsers.

2. If the myHR website does not display when you open your web browser, enter https://myhr.umsystem.edu in the address field and press the Enter key.

3. The myHR sign-in page will display.

4. Enter your SSO ID into the User ID field, your password into the Password field, and then click the Sign In button.

5. The myHR Homepage will display. From the Homepage, you can access many myHR features via the tiles

available on the Homepage, including employee Self Service options.

6. When you are finished using myHR it is important to always sign out. To sign out, click the Action menu and choose the Sign Out option.

Benefits At the end of this training, you should have the skills and knowledge to:

1. Understand the features available through the Benefits pages. 2. View a summary of benefits information. 3. View a summary of dependent and beneficiary coverage information.

Benefits Summary The Benefits Summary page displays an overview of an employee's current benefit participation.

1. From the myHR Homepage, click the Benefits tile.

2. This is the Benefits Summary page. Enrollment information will display based on the current date. Benefit

history information is not available through Self Service.

Note: Federal employees may see more options displayed on this page. Part-time (non-benefit eligible) employees will only see Tax Deferred Investment plans displayed on this page.

3. Details concerning your benefits are available. To view additional information for the benefits in which you are enrolled, click the corresponding link.

4. If the Medical link is clicked, the Medical plan name, provider, and coverage level will display. The Plan Name

provides details concerning the plan in which the employee chose to enroll. Before Tax means that the

employee's portion of the premium is deducted before taxable pay is calculated. If After Tax, then the employee's portion of the premium is deducted after pay is reduced for tax withholdings. Taxable pay and tax withholdings are less when premiums are deducted on a before tax basis.

a. Dependents display below the plan details. Click on the Name to view their personal information.

b. Personal information will display. To update or change any of the information on this page, contact your Benefits Representative.

c. To return to the Benefits Summary page, click the Benefit Summary link.

5. Dental and Vision and Life benefit information can be viewed similar to Medical plan information by clicking the

corresponding links. 6. AD and D benefit information, if applicable, will display similar to Life insurance information.

a. There are two options available for Long-Term Disability. For Option A, the cost of coverage is paid by the University and provides 60% of an employee's base salary. For Option B, the cost of coverage is paid by the University and the employee and provides 66-2/3% of the employee's base salary. For this example, the employee is enrolled in Option A.

7. If applicable, Tax Deferred Investment fund information allocations are available under the 403(b) link.

8. For information on all of the benefit options and plans available through the University, click the here link.

a. The HR Faculty and Staff Benefits website will display.

Dependent/Beneficiary Coverage The Dependent and Beneficiary Coverage Summary page displays current dependent and beneficiary information for the employee.

1. From the Benefits page, choose the Dependent and Beneficiary Coverage Summary link.

2. This is the Dependent and Beneficiary Coverage Summary page. For each dependent associated with a Medical,

Dental, or Vision enrollment and each beneficiary associated with a Life or AD/D enrollment, the Name,

Relationship, Role (Dep-Dependent, Ben-Beneficiary), Type of Benefit, and Description will display.

3. To view Dependent/Beneficiary information, click on the Name link.

a. Personal information will display. To update or change any of the information on this page, contact your

campus Benefits Representative. To return to the Dependent and Beneficiary Coverage Summary page,

myPlan Cost Estimator The myPlan Cost Estimator is a tool used to help you make decisions about which benefits plans are best for you. Click the link to access the online decision-making tools.

1095-C Consent 1. From the Benefits page, choose the 1095-C Consent menu link.

2. The Form 1095-C Consent page will display. To receive your 1095-C electronically, read the terms and agreements and check the I consent to receive Form 1095-C electronically option.

a. Click the Submit button. b. Enter your password into the Password field and click the Continue button.

c. A confirmation message will display. Click the OK button.

You may remove your consent at any time. To remove your consent, select the check box again and click the Submit button.

View Form 1095-C To view your 1095-C form:

1. From the Benefits page, click the View Form 1095-C menu link.

2. The View Form 1095-C page will display. Click the Tax Form link.

a. Verify your identity by typing your password in the password field and click Continue.

b. The 1095-C form will open in a new browser tab.

Additional Benefits Links While on the Benefits page, you will notice an Additional Benefits Links section on the left-side menu. Below is a brief description of each link.

• Total Rewards Website: Opens the Total Rewards benefits website in a new browser tab. • Wellness Incentive Portal: Opens the Wellness Incentive Portal through Cerner Health. • Retiree Insurance Changes: Opens the UM System website where you will find information on retiree health

insurance. • Retiree Insurance Premium Estimator: Opens the UM System website where you can find information on

estimating retiree insurance premiums.

Benefits Enrollment Benefits Enrollment is a way for new employees to enroll in University benefits and for existing employees to enroll in University benefits during the Annual Enrollment Change Period.

Note: The Annual Enrollment Change Period is typically available in October.
