PERSONAL RESULTS OF A RENEWED

LORDSHIP

I. IT ALL STARTS WITH A PURITY OF HEART.

1 Peter 1:22-23 “Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that

you have sincere love for your brothers, love one

another deeply, from the

heart. For you have been born again, not of

perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word

of God.”

II. CHANGES THAT JESUS MAKES IN YOUR PERSON.

1. Jesus wants to make your life beautiful

through simplicity.

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he

gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but

have eternal life.”

2. Jesus wants to make your life beautiful through genuine love.

1 Peter 1:22-“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.”

Imagine if your thoughts, actions and

words-ALL of them-were controlled by a sincere, deep love for others.

John 13:34-35-“A new command I give you:

Love one another. As I have loved you, so you

must love one another.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

3. Jesus wants to make your life beautiful through humble

reverence for God.

Psalm 111:10-“ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him

belongs eternal praise.”

4. Jesus wants to make your life beautiful

through inner joy.

“From time to time throughout history, the

church needs revival. We know how easy it is as

individuals and congregations and

denominations to get stuck in a rut.

We get into the routine of what we are doing and we

get comfortable with it-and since all of us like to

be comfortable-our comfort can become the main focus of our lives

and of the church. We fall into survival

mode instead of revival mode. In short, the

history of the church has shown us that

periodically we need to

be revived because theonly difference between a

rut and a grave is its length, its depth, and how

long we are in there.” (Allan Bevere)
