In November, Trae Wisecarver was initiated into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. Phi Alpha Theta co-advisor Dr. Clint Young served as his faculty sponsor at the ceremony.

Jason Higgins presented “Through the Eyes of a Marine: The War Experience of Leslie Hopper”

Polar Bear Plunge

On February 18, Quinton Morgan jumped into a very cold Weevil Pond to help raise money for Arkansas Special Olympics athletes.

Members of Phi Alpha Theta chipped in to raise the registration fee to support this worthy cause.

Spring Initiation

Civil War Arkansas, 1861-1865

Phi Alpha Theta, with support from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the Department of Arkansas Heritage, sponsored the exhibit “Civil War Arkansas, 1861-1865.”

Dr. William Shea gave the opening address on March 13, followed by a reception given by Phi Alpha Theta with funds from the UAM Student Activities Board.

The exhibit was housed at UAM Taylor Library from March 13-April 11, with Phi Alpha Theta members conducting tours for local student groups and civic organizations.
