OBITUARYJAMES A. WHITE , 69, died un-

expectedly at his home on CynthiaLane , Center Moriches , Monday.

He was a resident of this areafor about five years. Born in Brook-lyn Febr uary 12, 1892, he was aretired engineer and was a mem-ber of St. John 's Episcopal Churchin Center Moriches.

He is survived by his wife , Hel-en of Center Moriches; two daugh-ters , Mrs . Mildred Willis of Belle-rose , and Mrs. Virginia Mann ofFreeport; three sisters, eightgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren. '

Services will be held at 2 p. m.today with the Rev. Willard I. Kileofficiating. Cremation will followat Washington Memorial Park ,Coram. Funeral arrangements weremade by Herrmann 's FuneralHome , Center Moriches.

Following graduation from 12xveeks of "Boot Camp" at ParrisIsland , S. C, the new "Leather-neck" will be transferred to CampLejeune, N. C, for four weeks ofhighly specialized combat train-ing. Upon successful completion ofthis phase of his training, Pvt.Leis will return home for a 20-dayleave.
