GOALS

Being able to communicate in English in any social context.

Cross-curricular activities. To raise awareness of different cultures. Introduce new vocabulary and useful

expressions for each subject. To boost social and communicative skills to

provide cultural enrichment in a global world.

METHODOLOGY Frequent listening and speaking activities:

– Movies, download videos from different web pages and CDs. Reading comprehension activities (multiple choice, fill in the gaps,

matching activities). Oral and phonetic activities. Strong focus on vocabulary development. Explanations/instructions are given in English. Writing plan pages in order to produce lab reports, questionaires,

exercises, posters... Apply knowledge to solve different types of problems. Oral and written presentations. Background information. Focusing on functional English produce in real-life communicative

situations.

Social studies:– I Robot (I)– I Robot (II)

ACTIVITY READERS. TALES FROM GREEK MYTHOLOGY, a classic adaptation of three

legends: Persephone, Orpheus and Narcissus.– Concepts: destiny, travels, life and dead, gods and goddess, lessons

learned...– Questions and activities on each chapter to test student’s comprehension. – Pronunciation activities: class audio CDs.– Listen and repeat.
