Coaching Staff

• Head Girls Coach – Joe Adamak

• Head Boys Coach – Mark Pasten

Season Begins – March 9th!

• All forms must be turned in to the high school office and the athletic fee must be paid before your athlete will be allowed to practice

• All these forms can be found at www.portwashingtonathletics.org

Practice

• Practices are mandatory, but things come up… like family trips, dentist appointments, funerals, etc…

• If your daughter is going to miss they need to let me (Coach Adamak) know!

• “I have to work” is not an excuse to miss practice.

Practice

• Practices are Monday through Friday except meet days (3:00 – 4:30)

• Typical practice: Team: dynamic warm-up , and running drills Event: workout with event coach

Competitions

• Meet participation is expected.

• Bus times are departure times, we will leave without you.

• Time schedules change often!

Competitions

• Athletes are expected to ride the bus to and from meets

• An athlete may leave a competition with their parent/guardian if it is necessary.

WIAA Regulations

• Uniform rules have been relaxed as far as jewelry is concerned

• Must wear team issued uniform.

Injuries• We train in the off season to help

prevent injuries.• We do a dynamic warm-up, stretching,

running drills and strengthening exercises to help prevent injuries.

• Being sore is part of physical exercise. Being in pain is different than being sore.

• If your athlete is injured please have them talk to me. I have seen and/or experienced many athletic injuries.

• Treatment may include rest (cross training)

• Visit to the athletic trainer or family doctor. Please notify staff in doing so.

• Change running shoes after each season.
