Why Pinterest

• Relevance• Brand management• Past NACADA interest• Traffic/linking for departmental pages• Outreach to current and prospective

students

Definitions• Pinterest: a social curation website for sharing and

categorizing images online.

• Pinterest page: A page unique to you/your department, specifically designed to reflect your advising practices, this is where you create boards.

• Pinterest Board – a place within your page that you can “pin” specific topics in relation to the board name. This of the board as a Bulletin Board.

• Pin – Image and information you place on your “bulletin board.” This of it as a push pin.
