SOCIAL HOUSING

The project "Alone Together" deals with the issue of our rapidly growing society. Overlooking to 2050, an incline population will

result into the scarcity of land, overcrowded cities, compact spaces and lack of resources. The brief calls on for innovative ideas

concerning collective housing, the proposed concept, focuses on the efficient use and allocation of space, promoting interaction

between a various people.

"Divercity" commenced by observing the structure of an atom. By interpreting atoms as the building blocks of life, Atoms

represent individuals and the manner in which they combine to form communal or public spaces, semi- public areas or private

places. The collection of individuals in a central location developed the concept of the particle theory of matter which is associated with the structure water and how it is available in three different states, solids, liquids, and gases each representing public, semi-

public and private spaces within the building respectively. Through moving elements the communal spaces within the building change to a degree their state publicity to privacy.

GIVENCHY

A Givenchy Pop up store was to be opened in 'La Scuola di San Rocco' Venice, dispalying the 2013 Women's

Winter Collection.

The slow and soothing catwalk of the collection recalled the on religious processon leading into observation into gothic church architecture that highly inspired

the design. A dark relaxing atmosphere was the main principle in the design onf the pop up store.

8m tall black steel frames structure were the main support for chain for clothes display. The details were very small represeting the fine brodeiry in the Winter

collection. The small detailed allowed for clients to take on the slow experience, indulge and observe careful the

designs contrasting todays's 'online' and 'take away' society

C.E.C AT LA PEROUSECulture is the characteristics of a particular group of people; it is defined by the language, religion, social behaviour, traditions and cuisine customs. People with similar characteristics become a community, allowing for an individual’s sense of belonging and value within a society. Never the less society defines culture; the idea of a sandwich with a side of hashtags and the challenging contemporary arts, are current examples of how society changes the original perspectives. History has proven La Perouse as a place.

Research has proven that civic spaces act as a connecting bridge, between society and cultural heritage, through various experiences and excitement to see the ‘new’. The civic precinct proposed follows this deep research in the current cultural society where the allocated space allow for various programs to be carried out to encourage a sense of community and shared identity.

The design strictly shadows the geometry of the extant site linking to the notion of unity symbolising the connection to the cultural roots. The interior spaces form through excavations into the buildings, the extension and replication of the floor plan or by simply following the symmetry of the structure.
