Polly and the Plaid Scarf

Polly loved fashion. She enjoyed putting together fun outfits to show off her own unique style.

Polly loved shopping and never had enough clothes. Her closet was filled to the brim with sweaters, blouses, tanks, and tees.

For Christmas this year, Polly received a beautiful plaid scarf in her stocking featuring her favorite color, pink!

When Polly went back to school for the spring semester she wanted to wear her new scarf on the first day of classes. The only problem was Polly wasn’t sure how she wanted to wear her scarf.

First, Polly decided to try the European loop. She started by folding the scarf in half and putting it around her neck.

Then, she pulled the frayed end of the scarf through the loop made by the other end of the scarf, completing the look.

Polly thought the scarf looked okay, but wasn’t satisfied with the style.

Polly then decided to try the modern one loop. She started by putting the scarf around her neck with more length on one end and less on the other.

She then wrapped the long end around her neck again to create the loop.

Polly looked in the mirror and didn’t like what she saw. She wanted to try something different, but wasn’t sure what to do.

Polly decided to ask her friend Marah if she knew any cute ways to wear her new scarf. Marah thought about it and came up with an idea.

First, Marah placed the scarf evenly over Polly’s head.

Marah then finished her style by wrapping the scarf the rest of the way around Polly’s head.

Polly hated what Marah did with the scarf! She looked absolutely ridiculous!

Polly then went over to her friend Jenna’s room to ask her for help. Jenna had a great idea!

Jenna started out by looping the scarf around Polly’s neck once.

Jenna’s style then took a turn for the worst when she continued wrapping the scarf around Polly’s neck. Polly felt as if she was being choked!

Once again, Polly hated the strangling style Jenna had given her. Polly was losing hope in ever finding a new way to wear her plaid scarf!

Before giving up, Polly went to her friend Heidi’s apartment to beg her for help. Heidi was confident that she had a solution for Polly.

First, like so many attempts before, Heidi wrapped a portion of the scarf around Polly’s neck.

Heidi then tucked one corner of the long end of the scarf under the loop to complete the look.

Polly loved the style Heidi created! It was comfortable and looked really cute!

The next day when Polly wore her new plaid scarf to class, everyone complimented her on it. Polly was so excited because not only did she look good, but she had also learned a new way to wear her scarves!
