What is Poverty?

•Poverty is a state in which people lack a certain amount of money.

•Absolute poverty is a state in which people lack the necessary means for survival.

•The reason for on going poverty is the culture of poverty.

Effects of Poverty•In the end it leads to much more stress for

•Through the culture of poverty many people feel inferior due to the lack of resources. This feeling of inferiority is then passed from generation to generation.

•SOme of the many effects of poverty are children being sick more often, low birth weight, higher infant mortality rates and in the end

•One of the most common and largely associated with poverty is the homeless.

•Homelessness is caused by poverty and lack of jobs for those who are under educated.

•An estimated 50 million americans struggle to make ends meet.
