Project Review of Pearl River Brewery (Meizhou)

Brief Introduction
Pearl River Brewery (Meizhou) is located in High–Tech
Industry Park,Shejiang, Meizhou City, Guangdong province. It is a
project of strategic shift, whole plant relocation and long distance
transformation. Utilization of old equipment reaches more than
eighty percent. After upgrading, process optimizing, re-layout,
construction and transformation, the performance of the original old
equipment fully meet the high standard requirements of a complete
new plant. Ningbo Lehui began to dismantle the Guangzhou factory
in February 2012, then transported the equipment to Meizhou for
installation, and put it into standard production at the end of June
2013. Lehui delivered the whole factory including raw materials
handling system, Brewhouse, yeast plant, fermentation farm,
filtration plant, BBTs, and packaging line. This project created a new
mode of combining old and new equipment and pioneered the
precedent of efficiently relocating whole brewery.
Raw Materials Handling
Raw materials handling system added new malt silos and rice
silos, and eliminated the old square plate silos with frame
structure, which completely solved the problem that the raw
materials easily become mildewed. In-taking and out-taking of
warehouse system are transformed and designed by Lehui in
integration, guarantees high-efficient run in dust-free condition.
The whole process is environmentally friendly, high efficient,
time saving, and labor saving. The storage conditions of the
brewery has been improved greatly and logistics costs have been
saved also.
Raw Materials Handling
The whole raw materials system uses new steel structure platform, which
reduces costs and saves space, ventilates the air and improves the operating
environment. Reasonable layout ensures the fully utilization of equipment. We
also modified the manual dedusting system and weighing equipment, and
added the hammer mill. A comprehensive automation reform has been carried
on for the whole system, consequently, the equipment performance has been
improved twice in overall and fully meets the needs of automated production.
The modified raw materials system passed the safety license of National Security
Department only at once.
Brewhouse
The brewhouse utilizes equipment from phase 2nd brewhouse of main plant by long
distance demolition and installation. Most of the system adopts old equipment under
comprehensive reform. We beautified the appearance and re-polished the internal of
equipment after the demolition to satisfy the production condition for non-pasteurized
beer, we made the overall equipment looks brand-new after relocation and reached the
construction standard of new brewery.
Brewhouse
Lehui conducted maintenance and renovation on the control
system and hardware of this mash filter which is the main
equipment of the brewhouse, the capacity reaches 12
batches per day continuously production.
Brewhouse
The equipment changed the previous manual operation after
demolition and reconstruction. Lehui customized the entire control
system according to the conditions of equipment to realize the
automated production. The whole control system is running
smoothly and achieves high customer satisfaction.
Fermentation
The fermentation system consists of more than 30 tanks, including
fermentation tanks, bright beer tanks and de-aeration water tank. All of
them are old tanks dismantled from old plant. The whole demolition,
one-piece transportation, and integral installation retain the function of
original equipment. We also conduct comprehensive cleaning and
insulation works, strengthen and reinforce the structure of tank part. The
equipment fully meets the production requirement after installation.
Fermentation
The new installed fermentation piping
system adopts latest operation mode after
re-arrangement, which is simple to use and
no dead angle, meeting aseptic production
conditions.
Transform the old tanks and renew the
system configuration: We use single vessel
or dual vessels to make a complete new CIP
system for fermentation process. All units
including fermentation, clarification and
filtration can clean separately or clean each
other. Button start realizes time saving and
labor saving.
Fermentation
The whole filtration system is configured according to the standard of non pasteurized
beer process. All units including centrifuge, chilling, filtering, PVPP and deaeration water
preparation system etc are moved from Guangzhou head plant and installed. By effective
process combination, we have realized the combination of automatic and manual control.
As a result, the final beer has won acclaim during the beer competition of Pearl River
Breweries.
Yeast propagation and storage system is all reformed from old vessels with new configuration.
We optimized the top device and the whole control system to realize full automatic yeast
propagation and storage system, and finally ensure mass production operation.
Packaging Line
The whole canning line is provided by Lehui as a
turn-key project with capacity of 42000 CPH, its flow
meter type of electronic filling valves fully comply
with non pasteurized beer filling conditions.

Automatic depalletiser, empty cans conveyor and aseptic can rinser.
The can filler adopts electronic filling valves with high precise electromagnetic flow
measurement and isobaric filling technology. The filling valve can steam sterilize the empty
cans and has carbon dioxide air displacement function. The oxygen pick-up during the filling
is very low. Beer is filled and sealed after aseptic membrane filtration to keep its fresh.
Packaging Line
Bottle warmer & sterilizer with double layer tunnel design, has
two functions of bottle warming and sterilization.
Dry packaging area adopts a variety of packing form includes
shrink film pack, half tray pack and case pack.
