Asoma announces a new applicationfor the Model 600L on-line platingbath analyzer to provide continuous,in-process monitoring of gold concen­trations in electroless and immersionbaths. Employing the technique of X­ray fluorescence the analyzer reportsgold concentrations by direct observa­tion of the bath as continuously circu­lated through a flow cell. The analysisprocess is closed-loop and nondestruc­tive so no waste products are gener­ated. The 600L's output can be used tomaintain optimal bath stoichiometryby controlling automated additions ofreplenishment concentrates. Featuresinclude multiple-stream analysis, com­puter control of measuring head, andthe data can be directed to an at-linevisual display or printer.
