Little Sunshine
Infants were exposed to the theme of ‘transportation’, which also covered topics on wet and soft, sound and lights, through fun and creative activities.
Infants were given opportunities to develop their sensory skills. The younger
infants were exposed to the concept of wet through water play using boats.
As for the older infants, they were given the exposure of getting wet in
artificial rain.
Activity Name:
Getting Wet
Activity Name:
Boat Play
Activity Name: Listen to the sound
Infants also engaged in sound activities. They were in awe when they heard the
the bell sounds. The children explored further by touching and moving the bells
around as they listened to the sounds.

Terrific Two-s From doctors to firefighters and cars to trains, the toddler class explored their
country through community helpers and different types of transportation.
In one of their
activities, the toddlers
role-played as
firefighters and tried
putting out cut-out
fire using spray bottle.
The toddlers were also exposed to the different types of transportation, ranging from airplanes to cars. They took turns in riding a toy motorbike and imagined
that they were riding a real motorbike. Another activity that they did was decorating their paper planes. This activity helped them in enhancing their fine-
motor skills.

Permainan tradisional, guli, diperkenalkan pada
murid-murid di Penggal 3. Dengan penuh teliti
dan fokus, mereka mencuba membaling guli ke
sasaran bagi mengumpul markah.
豆豆班的幼儿正在用手工粘贴精致的小房子呢!培养了幼儿的动手能力,以及创作力,看幼儿们做的多么开心。
JolliThree The children of Nursery 1 made cars
out of boxes and paper plates. They
first painted the boxes according to
their preferred color, then pasted the
paper plates as the wheels and lights.
After they finished the Junk Box
Cars, they played with it by
pretending to be the drivers and
passengers while singing the song “The
Wheels On The Bus”.
As they learned about
colours, the children
were divided into three
groups. They crumpled
papers based on the
colour of the group.
Then they shoot the
crumpled papers in the
basket according to its
colour.

Fantastic Fours
As the theme for Term 3 is “My Country”, the N2s had the chance to know more about their
country, Singapore. They were introduced to the different types of housing in Singapore. As an
extension to the lesson, children were provided with wooden blocks and were tasked to make their ‘dream’ house using the blocks. Let’s see
them in action!
To commemorate our National Day on 9 August, children were shown videos on National Day Parade in the past and they sang along to the popular National Day songs over the years. Children loved the Parade segment the most as they were able to see the various uniformed groups marching. They also had a sharing session about the Singapore Flag.

Lagu ‘Nenek Si Bongkok Tiga’ menjadi pilihan
bagi permainan tradisional kali ini. Mereka
seronok bermain sambil bernyanyi bersama-sama.
Bermain permainan tradisional, Batu Seremban,
bukanlah suatu hal yang mudah bagi murid-murid.
Namun, mereka tetap mencuba dan teruja
sekiranya dapat melambung dan menangkap
semula Batu Seremban yang ada.
通过对新加坡各种房屋的学习,大班的幼儿知道了各种洋房的样式。
Kinderland (K1 & K2) Activity: Odd and even numbers
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”
Counting, hopping and throwing numbers, seems like playing but for the
K1s and K2s, those were fun and enjoyable way to learn odd and even
numbers from 0 to 10 and then, 0 to 20. They have learned to
strategize how to recognize odd and even numbers by skip counting,
alternating numbers and looking at the second digit. So the next time
you see them play around, they might be seeing a whole different way
of learning.

Project Care KMBR Lil Helpers Special: Grand-Culture
One of our SSDB Project Care, Lil KMBR Helpers key event, was conducted in conjunction with Racial Harmony Celebration. We invited our grandparents to share some of their
knowledge with the children with regards to understand the importance of appreciating Singapore’s rich diversity and heritage. Various activities were planned for the day. At the
childcare bay, children did activities such as Malay Cookery, Indian Dandiya Dance and Chinese Calligraphy. It was definitely an event to remember as we strengthen the bond
between the young and the pioneer generation.
Not forgetting our infants, they too celebrated by wearing traditional
wear and participating in fun filled activities. Infants did ‘kolam’, an
Indian tradition, ‘ondeh-ondeh’, a Malay tradition and Cherry Blossom
art, a Chinese tradition.

participated in The Athletics Festival (Preschool Learning Journey) at Singapore Sports
Hub.
With the objectives of engaging children to
experience a variety of modified athletics stations
and learning about athletics events, activities such as obstacles courses were
available for children to try and challenge themselves.
It was worth the sweat as our
children showcased their sportsmanship in completing
the courses.

Focusing on the ActiveSG campaign, children were not only exposed to the significance of Singapore’s independence, they were also engaged in activities that promote healthy
living and eating. At the Childcare Bay, children did activities such as mass workout, music & dance, fruit salad making and many more.
Infants too had a fun filled National Day celebration. They wore red and white to show their spirit for Singapore, singing our Singapore songs and doing Healthy Lifestyle Activities.

September Term Break Special:
@ KMBR
Sunflower Seeds Art – Nursery 1 children enjoyed
making sunflowers out of paper plates and pasted
seeds in the middle. Like sunflowers, the N1s
always choose to shine.
In line with this year’s Nature Magnified – Flora & Fauna theme, various activities were done by the individual classes for their term break.
Toddlers had an hands-on activity
as they touched the leaves and
flowers. Prior to that, they did a
Tulip colouring activity.
The Nursery 2 children went for
a nature walk in the morning to
have a closer look at the trees
and plants. With twigs and leaves
collected, they created art pieces
out of it.
Sebagai pendedahan tentang pentingnya
kitar semula, murid-murid membuat
petanda buku yang dihasilkan menggunakan
kotak, tali dan juga bahagian tumbuhan
yang dikumpul.
K1 and K2 had a wonderful experience planting vegetables from scrap. Children learned that certain parts of the plant can be planted again after cutting, hence learning how to use the edible parts. Saving plant or food parts is also teaching them to conserve nature. Page 14
