Meditech- Mobile Rounding Hand-Held Device
Summary
Mobile Rounding is an application that allows providers to VIEW patient data from handheld devices, such as a smartphone. It allows providers to access their rounding list from any location there is an internet connection. Mobile Rounding also allows for the electronic signing of reports.
Logging In
Direct your mobile device browser to https://mobile.khc.org
Your Meditech/KH Login username and password will be used for this application.
Navigation
Date Selector: Allows you to navigate between different dates by clicking the arrows or selecting a specific date by selecting date (ie. Oct 18, 2013).
Sign: Allows you to sign reports. To edit reports, you will need to use the full Meditech application.

Functionality
When in Mobile Rounding, you will default into your patient list (rounds/my admitted). These are sorted alphabetically by location and then by room and bed. The patient information displayed includes the patient name, age, sex, room, and bed.
Patient Lists
There are several ways to display your patient lists in Mobile Rounding, they are:
My Admitted
Rounds
Outpatient
Emergency
Find Patient
Find by Location
Buttons at the bottom allow you to select admitted, rounds, outpatient and emergency patients.
Click the box to the right of the patient to select and then click the “Remove” button to remove the patient from your list.
Scroll through more buttons by swiping finger to the right (use same language as quick reference)

My Admitted Click the “My Admitted” button at the bottom. A list of all inpatients assigned to you as the provider of record will appear. This will match your My Patients list in PCM.
Rounds
Click the “Rounds” button at the bottom, patients will be displayed by location. If you want to remove a patient, click the box to the right to remove a patient from this list and then select the “Remove” button at the bottom of the window. This will match Rounds patient list in PCM.
Outpatients
Click the “Outpatients” button at the bottom. You will see your scheduled outpatients if they are scheduled for an appointment in an outpatient location. Clicking on calendar icon will launch you to calendar and you will be able to select date and see all outpatients from that date.

Emergency Room Patients
Click the “Emergency Patients” button at the bottom.
Find Patient
Click the “Find Patient” button at the bottom.You can search by partially typing a patient name or account number.
Find by Location
Click the “Find by Location” button at the bottom. You can choose a location in a facility to search for patients.

Coverage
Click the “Coverage” button at the bottom. You can search and setup coverage for other providers. The coverage can be setup by provider, facility or location.
Restore Account You can click the “Restore Account” button at the bottom to see patients that have been manually removed. You can then select patients that you wish to add back to your list. Click in the box to the right of the patients name to select that patients account or click the “All” button to restore all accounts listed.
Sign
Documents can be viewed and signed in Mobile Rounding. Click the “Sign” button at the top of the window when reviewing your patient list. You can also scroll through the buttons at the bottom to find an additional sign icon.
The E-sign window displays, you can select Documents to sign. Select the item you wish to sign.

Results
Once a patient is selected you will be brought directly into the daily results for that patient. This includes a list of the results for that day. You can also click into each result to view more detail. You can scroll back and forth between dates as needed.
Click the image of the “clipboard” next to the item you wish to view to review the results.

Click the “Vital Signs” button at the bottom to review vitals for selected patient. The flowsheet mode will display three columns of the most recently documented vital signs. Arrows can be used to scroll back.. Click on History to see all vital signs for this visit. Scroll to the next page if needed.
Click the “History” button to view the vital history for selected patient.

Click the “I&O” button at the bottom to view the Intake and Output for your patient. You can use the arrows above the dates to move to different days during the patient’s stay and see the information.
