 1. All fabric lots must be tested for shrinkage with patterns/markersadjusted to meet required specifications.

Some recommended quality tips from QIOD Inspections.

2. Before spreading, fabric should be removed from the bolt and placed inrelaxing boxes for a minimum of 24 hours.

3. Fabric should be spread evenly with uniform tension. Do not pull orstretch fabric as it will distort the cut pieces.

4. After being spread, fabric must rest for a minimum of 24 hours before cutting.

5. The maximum height of lays for cutting is 80 pieces or 6" dependingon the type of fabric. 

The Quality People6. Recommended standard seam allowance is 3/8" with 1/8" trim off.Finished seams should be 1/4".

7. All sewing needles must be ball point. Singer use 9-14, Metric use 90- 70, Union Special use 027-036.

The Quality People8.For better result , core spun (Coats will be Epic, A&E will be Perma Core) sewing thread will be used on all seams and topstitching. Threadsize: Light weight use T-24 (metric M-120), Medium weight must use T-40(metric M-75). But it depend on styling .

9. Fusible of interlining must be use from good quality .

10. Fusing equipment must be checked four times during each eighthours of operation for temperature and cleanliness of fusing surface. Alltests to be documented and available for inspection. 11. Standard fusible color: white on white/light colors; charcoal onmedium/dark colors.

12. Zippers must be used good quality like YKK, Ideal etc

13. All irons must have a Teflon shoe. All

pressing tables must have a

polyester pad with a silicon cover. Pressing cloths on steam tables

must

be changed daily and the pads aired out to

dry over night.

ghosting of seams and

necklines onto opposite panels

• 16. For a nap fabric you must use a needle board

18 , Embroidery must use a tear-away or water soluble backing and it must be completely removed. There can not be any residue left on the garment. All loose threads must be trimmed on embroidery.

19• Embroidery threads cannot have

jump threads longer than ½” on the back side

21 , EPIC thread from Coats must

be used when

attaching beads and sequins on

the garment.

20, Beading

and sequins must be knotted

every 3/4".

22 All stripes are to match at the side seams of the front and back

panels. Stripes will match at center front and center back of

seamed.
