Weallacceptthatthelawofgravityexists,andwedon’thavetocontinuallychecktoseeifitisinoperation.Thehumanlawsappeartobealittlemoresubtle,andhencemanypeoplewillfailtonotice,sometimesrepeatedly.Forinstancethereisalawthatwhatcomeslatertakesprecedenceoverwhatcomesbefore.Thislawistheretoensurethatyoungestchildrengetwhattheyneed–aoneyearoldislessatriskthana3dayold.Howeveritalsomeansthatamanwhohasachildwithinanaffairpossiblybelieveshehaschoicesoverwhotostaywith–andintruthheprobablydoesn’t–eventuallyhewilldiscoverthatthechildthatcamelasttakesprecedence.Theworldislitteredwiththeresultsofignoringthatlaw!
