recommendations of our prophet for the night of Eid

It is recommended to glorify Allah (SWT) from the sunset of the day prior the day the Eid prayer is performed. Allah says, “That you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say: Allah Akbar; Allah is theMost Great] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.” (Al-Baqarah: 185).

Abdullaah Ibn Mas‘ood used to say,“Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Laa Ilaaha Illa Allah, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Walillaahil Hamd”

[Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great. Praise be to Allah].
