Brooklyn, New York, JULY 9th, 2013 -Andean Collection, the fair-trade accessories company featured by retail majors such as Anthropologie, Calypso St. Barth and DKNY, has transcended its Andean roots and is officially rebranding under the name Faire Collection on July 9th, 2013. Faire Collection encompasses blockbuster expansions in accessories, as well as in the countries in which it sources and designs.

“My deep passion for adventure, travel, and design has led me to artisan communities all over the world,” says Faire Collection CEO and founder, Amanda Judge. “Faire Collection is a natural extension of my interest in combining inspired design and artisanal craft with a social mission.”

Since 2008, Amanda has given over 225 artisans access to the global market. As a result, artisans like Nancy and Carlos in Ecuador have seen their income increase tenfold. Faire Collection extends this innovative model internationally, putting artisan communities in Vietnam, Peru, Swaziland, and the Amazon basin on a similar path to prosperity.

The full FW ‘13 collection, launching August 1st, 2013, will feature cold weather accessories made with the finest quality alpaca from Peru and a new collection of Faire’s best selling Batik Mamba Bracelets from Swaziland. As of today, July 9th, 2013, a preview is available online that highlights special products from Vietnam, as well as Faire Collection’s newest project in the Amazon jungle of Ecuador.

AmazonFaire is partnering with new artisans in the Amazon basin of Ecuador to create the first ever high fashion line of accessories from this region. These delicate pieces are made from smaller seeds harvested from the rainforest. Pita, a luxuriously soft plant fiber, is used as string and transformed into intricate crocheted and wrapped patterns.

VietnamTraveling through Southeast Asia, Amanda found inspiration in the techniques and materials of the local artisan communities. Faire’s partnership with these artisans has resulted in a spectacular line of statement necklaces, earrings, cuffs and bangles hand-crafted from bullhorn with pops of colors to elevate the designs.
