The Mexican Revolution is an event that Americans know little about, yet it is one of the seminal chapters in the history of Mexico. Italso prompted the first major migration of Mexican citizens into the United States and continues to have a major impact on U.S.-Latin-

American relations today.

To promote awareness of the upcoming centennial of the Mexican Revolution, the Center for Greater Southwestern Studies will hold aday-long symposium designed to provide an historical overview of the principal events and actors of the upheaval that lasted more than

a decade and transformed the Mexican nation-state.

Symposium attendees will have an opportunity to view three photographic collections on display at UT Arlington. The photographs aredrawn from a touring exhibit of the Casasola Archives on loan from the Mexican government, as well as the archives of the University

of Texas at Austin and UT Arlington.
