    SolarRadiationSolarradiationispossiblythemostimportantdatatoacquireandcanbeoneofthehighestriskstothebusinesscaseforasolarpowerfacility.Itcanresultinasignificantlyhighercapitalcostorasignificantreductioninthepoweroutputthefacilitycangenerate,bothofwhichincreaselifecyclecosts.Acomprehensiveprescreeningandreviewofsolarradiationandalltheavailableresourcesisrequiredforasuccessfulsolardevelopmentandisthefirststeptoensurethemostfeasible,productive,andeconomicallyviableproject.

    WorleyParsonshasthecapabilitytoprovideaninitialprescreeningandsiteanalysistoestablishthebestlocationforasolarprojectwiththemostreliablesolarradiationdataavailable.

    InitialstepsconsistedofGISbasedevaluationofabroadareaandidentificationandrelativerankingofsubareasbasedonresourcequality,physicalconditions(e.g.,topography),availabilityofinfrastructure,andpotentialenvironmentalandpermittingconstraints.

    Each factor contributing to site performance was weighted based on its contribution to revenue or development cost, and the results geographically mapped to identify optimal areas for development.
