1. Purpose of testing The company ORCON bv, Storkstraat 23 3905 KX Veenendaal / Nederlands, ordered tests to be conducted on a "WTU-800-EC-TA" central ventilation unit with heat recovery, in accordance with the „Informal translation of the Specific Procedure for fans and ventilation units in the EPB product database in Belgium”. 2. Description of ventilation unit of type Sentinel Kinetic B The structure of the "WTU-800-EC-TA" central ventilation unit with heat recovery is pictured in figure 1. Images of the "WTU-800-EC-TA" central ventilation unit with heat recovery are shown in appendices A. Data pertaining to the tested ventilation unit and its built-in components are listed in appendices B.

3. Execution of tests The tests were conducted on a „WTU-800-EC-TA“ ventilation unit in the test facilities at the Center of Competence for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology of the TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. The tests included the reception inspection, the tightness tests, the ventilation tests and a the thermodynamic tests. A list of the used measurement equipment is stored at the test centre.

3.1 Reception inspection The relevant technical data of the ventilation unit were recorded during the reception inspection. 3.2 Leakage test 3.2.1 External leakage test The external leakage was determined by means of establishing a pressure difference between the interior of the unit and its environment. The measured air volume flow required to maintain the pressure difference indicates the external leakage. 3.2.2 Internal leakage test In order to determine the leakage volume flow between the exhaust air / extract air side and the outdoor air / supply air side, the exhaust air / extract air side of the unit were pressurised and a volume flow was supplied to or extracted from the outdoor air / supply air side, so as to keep the differential pressure between the environment and the outdoor air / supply air side at zero. As there is no differential pressure between the environment and the outdoor air / supply air side, the leakage volume flow corresponds to the ingoing or outgoing volume flow which exists when the specified differential pressures are established. 3.3 Ventilation test The ventilation test was conducted with a test chamber in accordance with the standard DIN 24 163. The pressure-airflow curves on the outdoor air / supply air side and the exhaust air / extract air-side were determined. In the ventilation test, the air volume flow of one line was determined in each instance, while the other air line was not throttled. The recorded real power consumption values relate to the measured fan. The real power consumption of the controller was measured separately. The real power consumption of the controller was 2.8 W. 3.4 Thermodynamic test The thermodynamic test was conducted on a „WTU-800-EC-TA“ central ventilation unit in a double climate chamber. The data pertaining to the incoming and outgoing airflow (temperature, humidity, air volume flow) and the total real power consumption of the central ventilation unit were recorded at the envelope boundaries of the central ventilation unit. The exhaust air entrance into, and the outgoing air emission out of the central ventilation unit, as well as the outdoor air entrance into, and the supply air emission out of, the central venti-lation unit, were defined as envelope boundaries.

4. Test results 4.1 Reception inspection The recorded relevant technical data pertaining to the ventilation unit and its built-in components is listed in appendices B. The visual inspection of the central ventilation unit yielded the following results: - Unit labelling
- The unit was equipped with a type plate.
- The unit is marked with a CE marking. - Electrical safety
- The electrical parts are not accessible if the cover of the unit was open.
- Tools are required for opening the unit cover. - Mechanical safety
- The unit will not be cut out by opening the unit cover.
- Tools are required for opening the unit cover. - Operation and installation
- The unit is operated by a control panel.
- By the control panel 3 speeds can be chosen.
- In the electrics of the „WTU-800-EC-TA“, the control voltage of speed low and speed high can be adjusted. Medium speed is a result of the adjustment of speed low and high.
- There was no possibility to adjust a disbalance of the fans.
- Maintenance
- There was no Filter supplied with the unit.
