• Some of the subtopics which we as a group came up with for Ideology was Sexualisation of food, Image is everything and the connotations behind certain foods.

• Advertising was how the adverts relate to the company image, celebrities in the adverts and the presentation of food.

• Capitalism was information on the big companies, food sponsorships and deals in the supermarket.

IdeologyHere are some examples of ideologies

Women are mostly associated with food and the kitchen, in the 60’s there were many images of women doing housework. This belief of women belong in the kitchen is still around from norms and values.

Men's job were and in some ways still considered outside the kitchen and nowhere near food.

Many Music videos show the ideologies of men and women and sexualisation of food.

Many of these images show the women eating sweet treats in what can be seen as a sexual way.
