Talbots falls into the category of tailored and a older demographic as well as expensive depending on the fabric or item. Talbots seems to follow trends and is aiming a bit more towards the younger de-­mographic hoping that with its clothes being tailored but alot more trendy in colors and styles will pull in the younger demographic. Loft is in between tailored,young,casual and old. Loft has a lot of those characteristics depending on the item you purchase. Loft has a bit for everyong from casual to tailored, to inexpensive ad basic as well as trendy. Gap is the most casual and the most inexpensive of the two competitors, gap can be trendy but is mostly focused in basic items. Gap has both demographics from young to older since it sells, mens-­wear and childrenswear as well.

Loft carries 3 price points from a Less, medium, and higher range depending on fabricsFor Blazers the price is balanced & range from $98.00, $ 118.00 to 138.00 the most expensive. Pants are a bit more affordable also with 3 price points from $59.50 to $69.50 to $79.50 as the highest. Skirts are the most affordable product but still range in the same price pointas pants. For dresses, the most expensive runs at $108.00 and the least to $89.50. The prices are well balanced and by keeping the percentages lower on the most affordable items we are able to push the customer into buying mostly our medium price range.

Loft usess cuba and cotton sateen fabric for their blazers, pants and dresses are made out of synthetic blends such as Polyester and vis-cose.. aswell as cotton blends.

The skirts are the only fabrics that have over 90 percent cotton..
