Russia is located on the continents Asia and Europe. It’s neighboring countries are the following: Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan,

Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Japan.

WHERE RUSSIA IS LOCATED

Mountains in Russia: Elbrus, Dykhtau and Pushkin peak all in the Cauca's mountain range. Rivers : Volga and Ural.

GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES

As you can see on the chart the weather can get as cold as – 10 c during the winter

time and as warm as 25 c.

Climate

some native plants are Rhizomatous Perennial, Crocus and Arnica Montana and the national flower Chamomile. chamomile

Native Russian animals are Baikal seal, Black capped marmot, Amur leopard, Siberian hamster and Amur brown lemming. Siberian hamster

1240-Mongols take over Russia. 1480-slavs defeat Mongols. 1547-Ivan the Terrible becomes czar. 1812- Napoleon invades Russia not winning. 1922-The USSR is created.

1991- The USSR dissolves.

RUSSIAN CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS.

Russia government is a federation. There president is Medvedev. He is head of the government. They meet and make the laws in the Kremlin.

Russian goverment

Russia's money is the ruble. It’s economy is built up mostly by oil and mining industries, but also by coal, gas and chemical production.

Russian economy

Russia's mountains are a perfect place to ski or snow board during the winter, but during the summer it’s a ideal place to take long walks. The cities are all full with many shops and museums.
