SACRAMENTS
Baptism: Parishioners who are expecting a child are encouraged to make arrangements prior to the child’s birth by contacting the Parish Office prior to the birth. Adults desiring baptism or other Sacraments of Initiation may contact Mr. Jim Leddy at the parish by calling 410-799-1970 or by email to adultfaith@saintlawrencemartyr.org. Preparation sessions are required.
Marriage: Couples should contact the parish priest or deacon at least six (6) months prior to the planned wedding. Pre-marriage instruction is required.
Anointing of the Sick: Call the Parish Office before surgery, when a serious diagnosis is received, or at advanced age. A parishioner who is homebound, in the hospital, or in a care facility and wishes to receive a visit or a sacrament can call the Parish Office at 410-799-1970, ext. 50 to let us know of their illness and request a visit.
WE WELCOME NEW PARISHIONERS!
Saint Lawrence Martyr has a 150-year history of being a warm and welcoming faith community. All Catholics who attend Mass at our parish should register in order for us to welcome you fully into our family of faith. Individuals and families can easily register online at www.saintlawrencemartyr.org, or you may choose to obtain a Registration Card from an usher or greeter (cards may be returned in the offertory basket on weekends, or to the Parish Office during normal business hours). Once registered, we will mail to you a welcome packet with more information about your new parish.

IMPORTANT: for everyone's health
At this time and for the foreseeable future, parish staff, parishioners, volunteers, vendors, and visitors MUST wear some sort of facial covering upon exiting their vehicle to enter parish buildings. Facial coverings must continuously be worn while in parish buildings and when exiting buildings and only removed once reaching your vehicle to leave our campus. This protocol is in place for the health and well being of all. Thank you for your patient understanding and cooperation as we prayerfully and prudently move forward toward the safe reopening of our parish.
CURRENT PARISH OPERATIONS (following Anne Arundel County and Archdiocese of Baltimore restrictions and guidelines in effect as of May 22, 2020):
• NEW: Confessions will continue to be heard outdoors (weather permitting); however, effective this Saturday, May 30, we will resume our normal time of confessions which is 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Provisions will be made indoors should the weather not cooperate with our outdoor plans.
• The Sunday Vigil Mass will continue to be streamed live at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday evenings from the church on our Facebook page and website. Only liturgical ministers for this Mass will be permitted to be in attendance.
• Wednesday evening and First Friday Eucharistic Adoration will continue to be streamed live at 7:00 p.m. from the church on our Facebook page and website for the same reasons noted above.
• Parish staff will continue to work remotely, yet still be available to you via email (office@saintlawrencemartyr.org) or phone (410.799.1970).
• The Parkside Campus is open for private prayer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. As it currently stands, no more than 10 persons may be in the worship space at any time, and all must maintain the proper physical distancing of no less than 6 feet. Parish staff will be on hand to help maintain this safety protocol.
• At this time, funerals, baptisms, and weddings may be celebrated; however, no more than 10 persons (including liturgical ministers) may be in attendance. Please contact the Parish Office for further information at 410.799.1970.

HEALTH OF THE SICK PRAYER LIST
Our parish is a community of faith and family. There is nothing more valuable to the strength of a family than praying together. As access to the parish prayer book has been temporarily suspended, we’ve developed an online prayer list named Health of the Sick. This list is dedicated to Our Lady under her title Health of the Sick, through which we ask her intercession for healing of all whose names are submitted for inclusion on this holy list which will, for the time being, appear here in the bulletin and on the par-ish website, www.saintlawrencemartyr.org.
Please note the following submission guidelines:
• If asking prayers for an individual, please submit the person’s first name and last initial only;
• If asking prayers for an entire family, please submit
your prayer intention as The S. Family; • Please indicate with your submission if the person is
living or recently deceased. • Intentions will be kept on our Health of the Sick list
for two weeks, unless a subsequent request is submitted.
• Health of the Sick will be updated each Wednesday. Be assured that your privacy and that of the person or family who appears on Health of the Sick will remain protected and confidential.
Submit intentions to office@saintlawrencemartyr.org. For privacy reasons, please do not include details of your intention as Our Lady and her Son know your wants and needs.
To have your 2020 high-school or college graduate recognized in the bulletin, on our website,
and on our Facebook page, please send his or her name, school, degree and any honors
no later than June 15, 2020 to: office@saintlawrencemartyr.org
WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Even during this time of uncertainty, our parishioners have continued to be financially supportive of the parish and its ministries for which Father Victor, Deacon Steve, and the Parish Staff are extremely grateful. Please know that each of our parishioners and their families remain in our daily prayers. We place all of you in trust to Mary, our mother and Jesus Christ, her Son. CHURCH SUPPORT
Even during these challenging times, members of our faith community have been very generous in their
financial support of the parish and its operations for which Father Victor and the Parish Staff are indeed
extremely grateful.
Under normal circumstances, offertory is collected weekly at Mass and through our Online Giving Program.
It is then reported in the bulletin the following week with a comparison to the previous year. Further, the
various ways in which donations are received are listed such as Envelopes, Loose, Online Giving, and Second
Collection for various specific ministries.
Although we are not gathering physically as a community for our weekend Masses, your continued financial
support has remained strong. Many of you have signed up for Online Giving over the past several weeks.
This secure method of giving is so very welcomed as it reduces the workload of Parish Staff members and is
especially welcomed while we are working remotely.
As of the end of April, your financial support so far this year is at 97% compared to the level of giving this
time last year which is humbling and indicative of how much you love your parish. Daily we are receiving
contributions along with notes of gratitude for the live streaming of our Vigil Mass and Adoration Services.
We very much appreciate your words of prayer and kindness.
Once again, all of us thank YOU for your continued support and prayers as we look forward to being together
again with you soon!
