DVB-T2 Network Rollout Questionaire l Number of programs in the DVB-T2 network:

– How many programs are foreseen in Standard Definition (SD)? – How many programs are foreseen in High Definition (HD)?

l How many Multiplexes or RF Channels are planned? l What is the preferred reception mode (outdoor fixed antenna, indoor portable

antenna)? l How many SD/HD programs in 1 RF channel are planned? Examples:

– How many frequencies are available in UHF for a nationwide DVB-T2 network? l How many frequencies are allocated for DVB-T2 in each city - meaning how many

MUXes are planned? l Is a Single Frequency Network (SNF) required in cities? l How many cities shall be covered? l How many transmission sites are in operation and have availability for new equipment?

– Is there room for additional transmitters and filters? – Is there room on the tower for new DVB-T2 antennas? – Is there a need for new transmission sites (building, tower, infrastructure…)

l What is the signal distribution to the transmission sites? l Is monitoring of the TX network required (NMS)? l Is signal monitoring MPEG/DVB required? l What is the redundancy concept for transmitters (Dual Drive, 1+1 or N+1)? l What is the redundancy concept for Headend and T2-Gateway?
