Fuel Cell Bus
• Scania Technology;
• 60 buses – Operator: Metropolitana and TUPI;
• Reduction of 90% Particulates and 64% NOx;
• Reduction of 95% CO2;
• Ethanol + 5% additive.
Ethanol
• B20 – diesel S50 + 20% biodiesel; • 1200 buses – Operator: VIP; • Easier logistics distribution; • Available in the market and independent of vehicle modification; •Reduction of 22% Particuates and 15% CO2
Biodiesel
• Present fleet: 190 vehicles;
• 92 new vehicles (Alternate Current);
• 140 vehicles to be replaced until 2012;
• Proven and operational technology;
• Zero emission
Trolleybus
Technologies under Test
Sugar Cane Diesel
• 295 buses – Operator: Viação Sta. Brígida, Transpass, Gato Preto;
• Diesel S50 + 10% sugar cane diesel
• Engine were not changed for the use sugar cane diesel;
• Same fuel consumption and performance;
• Lower opacity
• Up to 50% reduction of emissions;
• Same power and performance;
• Diesel engine need to be changed, but completely reversible;
• 100% diesel or a blend up to 95% ethanol;
Dual Fuel (Ethanol + Diesel )
Technologies under Test
Fuel Cell Bus
• Zero emission;
• Low noise operation;
• Breaking regeneration energy;
• High efficiency.
• Up to 35% reduction on fuel consumption and CO2;
• 50% reduction on NOx and Particulates emissions;
• Diesel engine is compatible to B30 (30% biodiesel);
• Accumulated more than 10.000 km;
Hybrid Diesel Electric Vehicle
• Zero emission;
• Low noise operation;
• Breaking regeneration energy;
• High efficiency.
