The best way to prevent novel coronavirus transmission is washing yourhands with soap and water. Here's the ve-step process the CDCrecommends.

Reduce Stress/Anxiety and Set a ScheduleSuperintendant, Randy Drost has informed each family that we will be starting distance learning at theRice Lake Area School District. Each of the building Principals have contacted you about what that willlook like at each level and some teachers have also sent educational information. We also know, thatyou are inundated with information from every direction, may have fears about job loss, you may feellonely/isolated. This information and the unknown may be overwhelming and it may be causing somestress/anxiety in the home. Please remember to take care of yourselves and your family during thistime. Below are some steps to follow to help reduce stress/anxiety and increase your overall wellness.

1. Limit the news that you are watching (nd one reliable site/source to view daily). We know that itis important to have information, so focus on getting accurate information. Once you haveaccurate information then focus on something else. Too much media/news could cause stressand inaccurate information causes undue stress.

2. Maintain a routine or a schedule. It is important for families to continue taking care of their basicneeds and using their coping skills. Make sure that your family has healthy meals, gets plenty orrest and water, exercises, and spends time together doing something fun.

3. Stay connected during "social distancing". Many people are feeling isolated/lonely, so it isimportant to build a social support system. Communicate with family and friends usinginteractive applications and social media. Become a distant socializer and continue to stayconnected!
