DB SCHENKERgroupageIn the course of many years DB Schenker has built up aunique network which today consists of 31 terminals inNorway and about 720 terminals spread all overEurope. In addition to these modern terminals, the network is connected up by means of up-to-date ICTsystems, transport equipment and systems and competent personnel. ExpressA solution designed for business customers for extraquick delivery of goods. By Express, we ensure that theconsignee will already be able to start using the goodsthe day after we collect the consignment from the sender - delivery not later than 10 a.m. the followingday in most places. Over long distances, this is arran-ged by a combination of air and road freight. Expressconsignments take highest priority in our transport network. DB Schenker’s long experience in carriage ofexpress goods ensures you the best delivery times.
Private deliveriesPrivate delivery is a service for business customerswho have private customers. A private customer isdefined by the delivery being made to a private dwelling. Delivery to a farm or to a business that is runfrom a private home address, is also defined as a priva-te delivery. Consignments must be marked and forwar-ded with the correct marking for delivery at a privateaddress. In towns and built-up areas, deliveries to consignees at a private address will be made after16.00 hours or by agreement. By special agreement, private delivery may also be used for deliveries outsidetowns and built-up areas. DB Schenker will contact theconsignee by telephone/SMS to agree on the time ofdelivery. A new SMS will be sent to the consignee whenthe goods are loaded on the delivery vehicle. Deliveries
to consignees who are not present at the agreed placeand time, will be stored at DB Schenker’s terminal anda written notice will be sent to the consignee. This is afull service product, which is based on the driver carrying/placing the goods in position at the place indicated by the consignee. Return of the packagingand any electrical apparatus can also be undertaken byagreement. For large consignments, a driver and matecan be used, at an extra charge. This must be agreedupon in each particular case.
Private deliveries on the jobDB Schenker can offer door to door delivery as a full-service product. Sometimes it may be more practical tohave the goods delivered to you where you work andthen we can do that. Net shops will primarily be thetarget group for this type of service, but private delivery at work is suitable for all types of small consignments that can be carried by one person. A private person who wants to take delivery while atwork, must first clarify this with his/her employer. Thecompany must have a manned reception or goodsreceiving office that can give a receipt for the goods. It is natural to use the XML price calculation servicefor these deliveries, it shows prices and transporttimes to the end customer. We also offer SMS notification to the end customer (mobile number must be given in the EDI message).

Who checks transit time?By following up the transit time for time-defined airfreight, we set a new standard in the global logisticsmarket. DB Schenker employees are able to check, atany time whatsoever, exactly when a Jet Cargo consignment will arrive and whether it is delivered onschedule. Thus it is possible to follow the consignmentfrom hour to hour. This means that we can effect corrective measures if necessary and inform the customer of any delays well in advance.
Return LogisticsReturn logistics is the term used to describe the services DB Schenker can offer for collecting and returning products to the sender, whether in Norwayor abroad. The product can also be sent to a thirdparty for re-use, recycling or destruction. Return logistics also includes the return of packaging and carriage of return goods such as scrap metals, glassand paper for recycling. Sender can have the consignment returned or re-addressed to another destination. DB Schenker can also undertake re-packing, marking, carriage and storage as requested. A charge for this will be added to the invoice. NB! An ordinary consignment note must be used forreturning DB Schenker giro service consignments.
Idle capacity in DB Schenker’s transport network isused for return logistics, as collection and deliverytimes are not the same for returns. Better utilisation oftransport capacity also gives environmental gainsthrough less driving without a load. Often the requirements to careful handling are less stringent forgoods of this type. The operating solution and price-setting are based on individual solutions, according to the requirements you impose for yourreturn transports. Contact your nearest DB Schenkeroffice for more information.
Third-Party Logistics (TPL)Third-party logistics is a solution in which your warehousing is undertaken by a third party. DBSchenker cooperates with a number of lead providersof TPL services in central areas in the south-easternregion. Contact your nearest DB Schenker office for further details and conditions.

By usage of tailor-made tools we can assist inoptimizing your logistics costs.
We will willingly go through your information andgoods flows, for example by analysing and simulatingyour present dispatching and order structure.
