An overview of some of the trips we provide for a 12 year old or above level of student. This is 10 of 15 regular trip ideas we operate.

International Cyclists to Asia was conceived in the fall of 1984 whenTim Obendorf and a small band of adventures cycled from Hong Kongto Shanghai. Since then we have specialized with bike tours aroundAsia catering to individuals, families or schools.

Operating under Hikari International Travel Ltd, License Number 352813Our current destination list is Tibet, Mongolia, Sabah, New Zealand, South, West and North China with departures year round. Hong Kong Day tours from November through April.

• Tour Managers are from the USA, France, Brazil and Hong Kong• Experienced and great with kids. Service Oriented – Safety Oriented• First Aid Experience/Bike Mechanic experience• Liaise with our local guides with feedback on food and lodging• Local guides are bilingual English speakers and serve as our local specialists. Their focus is on sharing cultural insight, dealing with food and lodging issues.

Tour Managers and LocalGuides

• We maintain our own fleet of bikes in a variety of sizes. • Vehicles used are inspected regularly and for bike trips there are always two serving as support vehicles front and back.• Medical facilities have been identified in all locations of tours• Nurses are on each trip. HK based doctor on Call.• Peanut oil or nuts, MSG and seafood have been requested to be off all menus.

• All riding or hiking is in single file with our own staff and teachers surrounding and in the middle of the group. • We offer training sessions in Hong Kong to improve riding and hiking skills• All roads are researched and selected for low traffic and good surface.

We will start our trip in the historic location of Kaiping

At the Chi Kan Museum we will learn of the first Chinese Exodus to the USA

Cycling along “Castle Lane” – these “castle” houses are unique to this part of China.

Cycling on the coast toward Guang Hai and completing our loop throughTaishan back to Kaiping.

Wuzhou

Our first day we will be spent cycling to the city of Zhaoqingand the Seven Star Crags Park where we will overnight.

Cycling West toward Guangxi province we will find many interesting Cottage industries along the way.

This trip will offer the longest cycling distances among all the trips. Our longest day will allow for up to 80 kilometres of cycling!

We will cycle around the largest stone in the world! Key word here is “Stone” ok?

Our last day cycling will bring us to Winding Dragon Canyon and waterfalls.

Hangzhou and Huangshan

• Flying roundtrip to Hangzhou• By bus to Huangshan and back to

Hangzhou

Making our way toward the mountain we will have one night in the ancient village of Hong Cun, famous as the site of filming Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

This is a great trip for those who like to hike and explore.

Taking the Gondola up the mountain will save us 6.5k of uphill hike!

We will have two days exploring Huangshan, hiking on top.

Two of our overnights will be on the mountaintop Xi Hai Hotel

Some fun with orienteering and using GPS to treasure hunt!

• Flying Roundtrip into Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou

• A 2.5 hour trip each way from Guiyang Airport to the city of Kaili on each end.

• Working with Zigen Foundation we will have opportunity to help Miao minority children in very practical ways.

We will hike into and enjoy GeTou Village for a time of service.

We will see the folk dance and colorful costumes of the Miao in Xijiang,the largest Miao settlement in the world – we will stay here our last night.

By flight from Shenzhen we reach the Ancient cityof Lijiang.

The town of Lijiang is a world heritage site. It is home to the Naximinority people. We will have opportunity to visit their villages and have a school exchange. There will be opportunity to benefit childrengiving them opportunity to attend kindergarten.

• Flights to and from Hong Kong to Chengdu. Flying again to Jiuzhaigou Airport at 3,400M. Four flight sectors.

Coordinated by Go2Serve Foundation, our primary service will be to handicapped and/or orphaned Children as well as facilities improvement.

Please note that obtaining a China visa is the responsibility of the participants and can be more complicated with the upcoming Asian Games. Please apply early therefore.
