• Self-concept: Picture or perception in our minds about our abilities and attributes.

• Self Efficacy: The set of beliefs that one can perform adequately in a particular situation.

• Self-ideal: The way I would like to be.• Self-actualization: The realization or fulfillment of

one's talents and potential.• Self-awareness: knowledge and awareness of your

own personality or character.

SELF-ESTEEM IS NOT

1. Self Esteem is NOT dependent upon what other people think about you.

2. Self Esteem is NOT egotism, arrogance, narcissism/selfishness, or a desire to feel superior to others.

3. Self Esteem is NOT temporary euphoria.

HIGH SELF-ESTEEM • Rational

• Creative

• Independent • Able to manage change• Willing to admit and correct mistakes• Seeks challenges• Quicker to recover

LOW SELF-ESTEEM • Irrational

• Blind to reality• Rigid

• Know yourself.

• Understand what makes you feel great.

• Recognize things that get you down.

• Set goals to achieve what you want.

• Develop trusting friendships that make you feel good.• Don’t be afraid to ask for help.• Stand up for your believes and values.• Help someone else.• Take responsibility for your own actions.

MY OPINION

• You are a unique individual. No one else is like you in the whole world. This makes you special already!

• Our time in this world is limited. Make it happen for you so you leave your mark in history!
