MODEL
Power Transducer Series
52U
Functions & Features• Measures simultaneously several variables of a
heavy-current power system: current, voltage, active, reactive and apparent power, active andreactive energy, neutral contactor current, powerfactor and frequency
• High contrast 14-mm high LED display• All measured values, counter values, display
mode, setting data are stored in the non-volatilememory at the power off
• Conversion factors, system configuration, inter-val times are programmable using the front keys
• Program lockout jumper• AC/DC universal power supply of wide range• IP 66 robust front for tough industrial applications• Conforms to IEC 60688Typical Applications• Multi-functional power monitor incorporated in an
electric device: saves space, wiring works, and cost

PACKAGE INCLUDES:Multi Power Monitor .................................................. (1)
MODEL NO.Check that model No. described on specification label isexactly what you ordered.
INSTRUCTION MANUALThis manual describes necessary points of caution when youuse this product, including installation, connection and basicmaintenance procedures.
POINTS OF CAUTION AUXILIARY POWER INPUT RATINGS• Power input ratings are specified by the model numbersuffix code.
AC power: 85 – 253V AC, 45 – 400 Hz, ≤3VADC power: 85 – 253V DC, ≤3W (approx.)
GENERAL PRECAUTION• Before you remove or mount the unit, turn off the powersupply and input signal for safety.
ENVIRONMENT• Indoor use• When heavy dust or metal particles are present in the air, install the unit inside proper housing and ventilate it.• Do not install the unit where it is subjected to continuousvibration. Do not apply physical impact to the unit.• Environmental temperature must be within -10 to +50°C(14 to 122°F) with relative humidity within 93% RH in orderto ensure adequate life span and operation.
WIRING• Do not install cables (power supply, input and output) closeto noise sources (relay drive cable, high frequency line, etc.).• Do not bind these cables together with those in which noisesare present. Do not install them in the same duct.
AND ....• The unit is designed to function as soon as power issupplied, however, a warm up for 30 minutes is required forsatisfying complete performance described in the data sheet.
LIGHTNING SURGE PROTECTIONIn order to protect the unit from lightning surges enteringthrough signal and power supply cables, use of appropriatelightning surge protectors are recommended. Please contactM-System.

PROGRAMMINGFor modifications, the jumper on the backside of the device must be removed. The following tables show all parameters with their adjustable ranges or possible selections respectively. The black numbersgive a cross-reference to the appropriate item No. in the table.1) Starting at the measurands display by pressing the key P, you may go to the menu level.
Then you can select the desired menu item by pressing the key P for a short period.2) Use Down key to enter the level where the desired parameter is displayed.3) Pressing P for a short period will force the selectable element to flash.
The flashing content may be modified using the keys Down or Up.4) Press P for a longer time to leave the parameter or menu level.5) All settings will be stored in the non-volatile memory even in case of power off.
HintsFirst you have to set the system configuration and the transformer ratios because further measurand selections, alarm limitsettings, etc. will depend on them.

The output generates energy pulses depending on the rate set under 11 .The meter measurands to output may beselected under 10 .
If the alarm limit 8 is exceeded, the output will be active (current flows). If the measurand is below limit 9 ,the output will be passive. The source of the monitored is selectable under 7 .
