Presentation Notes
The 3rd key is trust. Trust impacts everything. The lack of trust will lead to the lack of commitment, sincerity, and reliability. Without trust, you cannot have a high performing team. When trust is lacking, organizations implement checks and balances to monitor processes and people. It slows down decision making and increases costs. To learn more, read the book “The Speed of Trust” by Stephen Covey. The lack of trust is the number one reason I have fired people. I had a manager who lied to me about why he missed a day of work. I fired him the next day. It was not a one off situation, but a pattern of concerns I had about his truthfulness. Integrity is a common organizational value.
