Volunteering
• Choose a group or someone to help.
• Put in an hour a week over six months.
• Upload some evidence onto eDofe.
• Done!
Skill
• Choose from hundreds of skills to learn.
• Put in at least an hour a week over three to six months.
• Upload your evidence..
• Done!
Physical
• Choose a sport or physical activity to get into.
• Do it for at least an hour a week over three to six months.
• Upload some evidence…
• Done!
Expedition
• Attend Training after school in terms 5 & 6 2009/2010.
• Successfully complete the navigation training day walk.
• Successfully complete a Practice Expedition in a team 0f 4-7.
• Successfully complete an Assessed Expedition in a team of 4-7.
• Expeditions involve 2 nights camping away from home and walking with a heavy pack!
• Get it signed off – Done!
One more thing…
• One section out of Skill or Physical has to be six months, not three.
• Then, once all your evidence is verified online – you pass!
• You will receive a metal lapel badge immediately followed by a formal certificate, presented by VIP’s at a ceremony.
Moving on…
• If you decide to go for Gold, you can do it in Year 12 through William Parker.
• Gold expeditions are harder and you have to spend more time on the sections.
• Our current Gold group has 15 members. Gold expeditions are more challenging and are based in high mountain areas of the UK & Ireland.

Enrolment• If you are 15 already take a form and get it filled in at
home and signed by your parent/carer.
• Then add a cheque with your initial payment of £25 payable to William Parker School.
• Hand it all in to Mr Hanslip in Finance.
• You will be enrolled as soon as possible and then you’ll be set up on eDofE online.
• If you were 15 ages ago you can back date one section up to six months before you enrolled.
• If you aren’t 15 yet, take a form and bring it in when you turn 15 with your payment. Do nothing yet!
• If you started Bronze and haven’t finished it – get it finished FIRST!!
COST
• If you sign up and drop out there are no refunds! All funds will be used.
• Enrolment: £25• Practice Expedition 2010: £25• Assessed Expedition 2010: £35
• DofE can’t be funded by the school, so you have to pay.
