• Focus of program is on damaged cropland.

• Non-cropland located between cropland and riparian source must be included in the easement.

• Compensation for these acres limited to 50% of cropland eligible acres. Balance must be donated.

• Points awarded here for those donating all of the non-crop acres.

• New channel formation, deposition of material has been documented on this site.

• We are not anticipating much in the way of restoration of wetlands in the floodplain. Crop cessation will be the major restoration activity.

• If present, removal of dikes/levies to restore the extent of the floodplain will likely be required.

• Our goal is to enroll the entire floodplain within the ownership unit. We would like to deal with the entire issue one time.

LANDOWNER ELIGIBILITY• Land must be owned by applicant for 7 yrs. at

time of application – potential waiver.
