My Day at The National

A Coloring Book

Welcome to the Smithsonian National Zoo!Here you are at the visitor’s center.

Draw yourself and your family or friends!

Giant pandas eat 20 to 40 pounds of bamboo each day.

Color some food for this panda to eat!

At the National Zoo, keepers feed the lions beef, and twice a week, the lions are given bones.

Color some food for the lion!

Asian elephants use their trunks to cover their backs with dirt.This dust coating helps protect the elephants from insects and the sun.

Color some dirt on the elephants’ backs!

There are dozens of !amingos in the National Zoo’s !ock,some of which have been living there since 1965.

Color some friends for this !amingo couple!
